Windows Software
Here you can find an overview of some freeware Windows software. To download these
programs you must first register (it's free!).
All these applications use the
DotNet Framework (version 2.0 or 3.5 SP1).
Theuth
A Word 2007 addin which helps you write Ancient Greek Unicode texts and convert
between different arbitrary encodings.
Theuth is a Word 2007 addin using my textual conversion
components to allow a quick and easy conversion of (mainly) Greek texts written
using non standard encodings (e.g. typically Greek fonts like "Greek", "SuperGreek",
"Graeca", and the like).
Thamus
A tiny Windows desktop application which allows you to easily create or edit font
description tables for use with Theuth.
Thamus is a companion application written for Theuth. Although you can create or
edit font description tables using any text editor, this application has been developed
to ease the editing process. A slightly stripped-down version of Thamus can be run
directly from here whether you are using a PC or
a Mac.
UniSpy
A small utility for quickly browsing the latest version of the
Unicode standard and the most important text encodings ("codepages"). It
lives in the Windows tray and can be popped up whenever required.
UniSpy allows you to browse the standard by selecting
ranges and filtering characters with multiple criteria, define a set of favorites
characters ready to be picked up, get the Unicode codes from a text, convert from
bytes into codepages or vice-versa.
