Some Products I Worked For
- Born in Florence in 1970, degree in Lettere at the Greek and Latin Philology Department of the University of Rome "La Sapienza" with a thesis on the change
of Greek accent at the end of the Classical era (prof. G. Ricciardelli and L.E.
Rossi).
- Professional programmer since 1996, when working at the Italian Airforce
Defense Ministry in Rome (Centro Elaborazione Dati, formerly S.E.D.A.) during his
one-year military service.
- Ph.D. in 2001 at the Department
of Classical Archaeology and Philology of the
University of Genoa with a thesis about the automatic analysis of Greek
epic hexameter (prof. F. Montanari).
- "Cultore della materia" (C.M.) at the University
of Rome "La Sapienza" since 2002.
- Contract researcher at the University of Rome
"La Sapienza" in 2002 for a research about collection and digital cataloguing of
epigraphical documents related to mysteric associations, directed by prof. G. Ricciardelli.

External consulting for the research project on Proto-Christian Sicily by prof.
F.P. Rizzo at the Department of Archaeological and Historical Sciences of Antiquity
of the University of Macerata.

Owner of an individual IT consulting company since 2002, working for various Italian
companies (mostly in the publishing field).
- External contract researcher for
the project "Accounting for the Ancient Theatre: a new social and economic history
of Classical Greek drama", Australian Research Council, Discovery Projects (Chief
Investigators prof. P. Wilson and E. Csapo), The University of Sydney, School of Philosophical & Historical
Inquiry, Faculty of Arts, College of Humanities and Social Sciences: the
project adopts the database and software developed for digital
epigraphical editions, originally ideated for the Archaelogical Museum of Lipari.
The same structure and software has been adopted by other projects for Greek,
Latin and Medieval worlds.
- Member of the Nucleo di Valutazione di Ateneo for
the Faculty of Lettere e Filosofia of the University of Rome "Sapienza" since
2005, also for creating the Faculty database,
websites and students guide with cd-rom with the related
data entry and publishing software.
- Contract professor for the Laboratorio di informatica umanistica at the University
of Macerata in the Faculty of Lettere e Filosofia in Academic years 2005-2006, 2006-2007
and 2007-2008.
- Basic course of Ancient Greek language (32 hours) at the Greek and Latin Philology Department of the University of Rome "La Sapienza" in Academic year 2007-2008.
- Contract professor for digital humanities at the University of Rome "Sapienza"
in the Academic years 2008-9 (32 hours, 4 CFU) and 2009-2010 (two courses each
16 hours, 2 CFU).
