Welcome
Welcome to my home page. Here you will find information about some of my projects
in Classics and computing and free software.
This is a rather old website. You can find a draft of the new one
here.
You can find an overview booklet of this site here.
Note: this site is still under construction. Should you be interested to any of the
still incomplete sections please contact me and I'll try
to give you some information directly. The Silverlight
applications hosted here require Internet Explorer or Firefox for PC or Safari for Mac
(Linux users can download moonlight).
About me
I am PhD in Classical Philology, hired teacher in a few Universities,
developer of computer-based research academic and
commercial projects, and owner of a small business software
and consulting company.
My focus is mainly on Greek and Latin language and metrics; I'm working to several research
Academical projects and at the same time I run a small business software company, mainly
involved in the editorial field for Greek, Latin, Italian and other languages corpora,
dictionaries and expert systems. I also teach informatics for human sciences in a few
Universities.
After toying with Basic and Assembler I started as a C and then C++ programmer,
but currently I mainly program in C# with MS DotNet. All the software running in this
site is written in C#, using a combination of ASP.NET, SQL Server, Silverlight, WCF,
WPF and WinForms, for both Windows PC and mobile devices.
