Historical Dates Sample

meridiana This page shows how historical dates are handled in some XML-based generic corpora. Any datation, either typed (as here) or entered with the aid of a graphical user interface, is decomposed and stored in a few XML tags which can represent almost all the complex types required for such material, and can be automatically processed for sorting, searching, etc. Just type a datation following any of these patterns and press Enter. All the dates will be listed at the bottom of this page in their chronological order. You can select any predefined format for output, or create your own by building a format string in the custom textbox (use the dropdown list below it to insert any date component) and pressing Enter when you have finished.
